The Apostleship of Prayer

We are most fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome the Apostleship of Prayer to our parish. As of September 1st, this Jesuit apostolate, directed by Fr Philip Shano SJ, will have its office in the oratory upstairs. We are happy to be assisting Fr Philip and the Apostleship of Prayer by providing a space. We know that we will benefit greatly from his presence here and from his work and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr Philip Shano, SJ has been a Canadian Jesuit since 1978. Ordained in 1988, he spent many years working with the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises in Guelph, Ontario, has been involved in Jesuit governance, and Novice Director at the Jesuit Novitiate in St Paul, Minnesota. He is currently serving as Superior of the Pickering Jesuit community, which involves overseeing the Jesuit Infirmary. Fr Shano occasionally helps with programmes at Manresa.
